One douche in the name of love…
The man who, it seems, thinks he should be the Republican Presidential Nominee in 2016, Jeb Bush’s full statement on Fox News on Sunday, via Breitbart:
I’m going to say this and it will be on tape, and so be it. The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn’t come legally, they come to our country because their family’s dad who loves their children was worried that their children didn’t have food on the table, and they wanted to make sure their family was intact. And they crossed the border because they had no other means to work to be able to provide for their family. Yes, they broke the law, but it’s not a felony. it’s kind of — it’s a — it’s an act of love. It’s an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that’s a different kind of crime that should be, there should be a price paid, but it shouldn’t be — it shouldn’t rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families. And the idea that we’re not going to fix this but with with comprehensive reform ends up trapping these people, when they could make a great contribution for their own their families but also for us.
So I think we need to get beyond the harsh political rhetoric to a better place. The great number of people who come to this country come because they have no opportunities in other places. They may love their country, but they come here because they want to provide for their families. And they can make a contribution to our country if we actually organized ourselves in a better way.

Legal immigration is often an “act of love” for America.
Illegal immigration is more like a sexual assault. Anywhere from copping a feel on a crowded bus to full on rape-rape. It is an act having nothing to do with love but about taking something just because you have the power to do so, with no thought for the one it is taken from.
Commentator Libby adds another dose of Reality:
It’s magical thinking to believe that welcoming people who don’t respect our immigration laws – and our national sovereignty – will somehow result in them being good citizens. It doesn’t. Just look at the crime statistics for “sanctuary cities” like Denver.
Now…either Jeb Bush [by the way, what mature man allows himself to be called 'Jeb' — his name is: John] is delusional or he is a low-cunning, low-rent politician who thinks enough Americans are stupid enough to believe such piled high and deep do-do.
Which ever it is, or if it’s a cognitively dissonant combination of the two, his statement shows that he is not fit to be President under The Constitution Of The United States Of America.
As Jeff Goldstein writes:
…in fact the base is very much against his ascendency, and will likely fight his attempts to allow the establicans install him as the “only viable candidate.”
But the trouble is: if you recall from the last GOP Convention, the rules for primaries were changed, so the odds are very much against us being able to stop whoever the GOP Leadership rallies around. And this is just one of the ways they plan to render us impotent.
They’ve rigged the Primaries against us. It’s only 2014 and they’re already working to undermine any efforts we mount on behalf of candidates for the Congress and for the Presidency. And they’ve put people like Darrell ‘All Talk, No Walk’ Issa in charge of the most serious investigations, so that nothing will be done about the criminal acts of the IRS nor see that Justice is served for the Benghazi dead.
Face facts, conservatives: the GOP only wants us around if we shut the Hell up and do as we’re told.
For the sake of those who came before us and sacrificed so much so that we could be born in Freedom and and with Liberty, for the sake of those who will come after us and deserve to breath free, we must not shut-up and we must not give-in.
